Have you ever noticed how the more things you check off your list the more seems to be added? I’m so there.
I’ve been working on two different budgets – one for homeschooling and one for my photography – and it seems like as soon as I get something knocked off of one of them another one goes on.
I managed to get the homeschool room completely redone. Somehow I even managed to refurbish the dining room table and found a place to stick it so that it wasn’t a complete loss. Overall I’m happy with the results. However, because I worked so diligently on it I spent a few days completely knocked out in fibromyalgia pain, but no pain no gain, right?
I saved a fortune on the room by looking up craigslist and making posts on Facebook looking for specific items. I got a new desk for myself and rehabbed it since Jakobe loved my old desk. I, of course, rehabbed my old desk to cater to his design needs as well. Its cute, but I miss the beautiful desk I once had with its handy drawers I used to stick my crap. Now those drawers are filled with Elmer’s Glue, glue sticks, papers, and various other art supplies. I’m grateful for what I’ve been given and what I have accomplished, but man…I do miss having my own space. Here’s the basic gist of the room:
Anyway, my photography season is right around the corner, and I’m so looking forward to it. We’ve had a couple of warm days since the beginning of the year so I’ve been able to catch a session or two, but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things. But, before I do I have a long list to check off.
I have to get my photographers insurance and the mandatory permits to shoot at IndyPark locations – something I’m apparently one of the few Indianapolis photographers I know that do. I’d rather be legal, thank you. I also have to order business cards, order my dot com and get it squared away, and I’m getting some new camera equipment soon!
So much to do. So little time. I’d probably be pulling my hair out if I had any worth pulling out (I just started growing my hair out from a buzz), but I guess I will settle for counting the grays.
